Welcome to the art of Charlotte Shroyer
Whether painting in her studio in Taos, New Mexico or in selected sites in the world, Charlotte "Charlee" Shroyer paints contemporary images of the human face as well as abstract images. Her exploration of the human face in a fashion unique to her has been described as Picasso-like.
"Painting is a passion of mind and soul. Where it comes from, I know not. The process starts with just a few swipes of paint on the canvas and then the symphony begins—here and there another color with still no idea of what will appear. Finally an image touches the fringes of my mind. Bits and pieces of a vague outline trigger a subconscious thought, experience, place, or person. I see a path through the mind onto the canvas. There may be many detours along the way, but the first step to the finish line has been sighted."
